DIY Matcha Face Mask
You’ve probably heard about matcha green tea by now -- it’s one of our best selling blends and for good reason, too! This finely ground powder boasts a treasure trove of benefits -- like antioxidants that protect against harmful sun rays, minimize inflammation and redness, prevent premature aging, brighten your complexion, and optimize your vitamin D absorption. But did you know it’s not just for drinking? You can actually make a face mask with this versatile ingredient. We recommend the following recipe:
You’ll Need…
- 1 tablespoon matcha powder
- ½ teaspoon aloe vera gel
- ¼ teaspoon coconut oil
- Water, as needed
Mix the matcha, aloe, and coconut oil in a small bowl until a thick paste forms. Slowly add the water in small amounts until you reach a consistency that’s easy to spread across your freshly washed face in a thin, even layer. Let the mask sit for 15-20 before washing off with warm water and patting dry gently with a clean washcloth.
We find this mask is perfect for reducing redness and brightening your skin for an unbeatable, radiant glow! Have you ever tried a matcha green tea mask? What did you think? Have any questions or concerns? Let us know in the comments section!
